Opening Titles, stage backdrops, and digital signage for The Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences (GEMA)


The Challenge
Create a cohesive, Awards Open, and scalable visual identity for the GEMA Awards 2024 (formerly PromaxBDA Awards) for its first ceremonies in Los Angeles (USA) and London (UK).
As the inaugural awards under the name GEMA, the project required translating a newly established brand into a complete visual experience. The system needed to perform across Opening Titles, stage backdrops, and digital signage, while maintaining a premium, unified presence.
At the same time, it had to elevate the live event by supporting the room's atmosphere and energy.
The Solution
Concept and Graphic Approach

Starting from the brand’s core symbol, the "X" formed by intersecting spotlights, we developed a cinematic concept built on light, motion, and transformation.
This evolved into a series of illuminated corridors, expressing the ever-changing landscape of entertainment and guiding the viewer toward the GEMA statue.
The graphic approach combines cinematic 3D and refined typography, designed to shift between hero moments and ambient visuals across all formats.
Color played a key role. A bold pink extended into the physical space at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and The Brewery in London, creating a shared atmosphere that connected screens, architecture, and audience.
The Process
In close collaboration with the team at Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences, we developed the project from concept to final delivery.
The process began with a deep exploration of the new brand guidelines, identifying key elements that could translate into motion. From there, we defined a clear conceptual direction and built a flexible visual system designed to scale across all formats.
Each component was designed to work as part of a larger system, balancing visual impact with clarity and performance in a live environment, ensuring consistency across both ceremonies in Los Angeles and London.
The result is a cohesive and immersive visual experience that establishes a strong identity for the GEMA Awards in its first year.
