Title Sequence
Title Sequence
Opening and End Animation for an Amazon MGM Studios Romcom.
The Challenge
To introduce Lia, a tea shop owner, who receives a prophecy that she will meet her soulmate in five dates, and together they will save her grandmother's tea shop
The Solution
We depicted Lia's journey to find love through a clean, slick collage-style storytelling, infused with tea, childhood memories, and dreams, enhanced by a Romcom color palette.
The narrative seamlessly wove together themes of romance, destiny, and enchantment, with the magic book and her grandmother's tea shop serving as pivotal symbols of love and legacy.
The Process
We combined 2D and 3D animation with a stop-motion style to emphasize the playful and lighthearted tone of the story.
We combined 2D and 3D animation with a stop-motion style to emphasize the playful and lighthearted tone of the story.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed developing the 3D models, experimenting with a variety of textures, lighting, and shading techniques. The process involved blending 2D and 3D elements, allowing us to explore the dynamic interplay between the two mediums, which added a unique charm to the overall animation.
